Charm and Paul had the wedding of a lifetime! There was no insignificant detail to be found there. You can certainly tell they carefully curated each moment. The wedding was held at the stunning Jefferson Street Mansion by Wedgewood Weddings. Take a look through the photos I shot of this beautiful wedding!
Charm and Paul decided early to be different from other weddings in terms of their wedding attire. While typically wedding guests do not wear white, every guest was asked specifically to do just that. Charm and Paul along with their three boys were dressed in black. The bride and groom stood out stunningly throughout the whole wedding day. It was such an incredibly unique choice that made the wedding photos pop.
Getting Ready at Jefferson Street Mansion
Charm got ready alongside some of her best friends, sisters, and her mother. As the bridal party had their makeup and hair done, I was able to take some shots of the beautiful details Charm left for me. First, I had to capture some photos of the wedding dress itself. This beautiful Filipinana wedding dress was absolutely stunning. Look at the lace and flower details on the sleeve!
Here is Paul along with his sons each in their black barongs. The boys came in after Paul and his friends got ready for the day so that we could grab some pictures. They had such a great time getting to be a part of the groomsmen photos.
A Sweet Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was spectacular. Jefferson Street Mansion has a gorgeous ceremony spot. The wedding arch was wrapped in the most beautiful flowers. They even had flowers hanging from the pergola as well. Each guest walked in as happy as could be. A Filipiniana wedding is completely centered around family so it was no surprise Paul’s parents walked in with him arm in arm before taking their seats.
One of my favorite moments from the ceremony was when Paul and Charm’s father embraced at the altar. There is something so special about two families coming together during a wedding. Charm and Paul’s wedding vows were so heartfelt and beautiful, not a dry eye was left! After getting some formal photos of everyone at the ceremony site, we walked over to Jefferson Street Mansion’s reception space.
A Jefferson Street Mansion Wedding Reception
After a beautiful and quiet ceremony, the wedding party entrance to the reception held at Jefferson Mansion was a blast. Each person that walked through was dancing along to the music playing. The bridesmaids even had prepared a dance together to do as they entered the venue. The best entrance, of course, was Paul and Charm. They came in with a beautiful dance they had put together. This just goes to show how much these two were made for each other.
As I said earlier, family is at the center of a Filipiniana wedding. The reception was a good representation of that. After everyone was settled inside the venue, Charm’s father offered a word of prayer. It brought a whole different vibe into the room. They then proceeded with the family photos with guests around the sweetheart table. Towards the end, friends and family performed musical numbers for Charm and Paul. It was such a sweet gesture that I think should happen more at weddings!
The entrance of the wedding party was a good indication of how the end of the reception was going to be. This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot at. Everyone had such an incredible time just being together and laughing.
Charm and Paul, congratulations on your marriage! It was an honor to be there to witness one of the most important days in your lives. I wish you both the best of luck in this new adventure as a family.
